The Scheme under the Government of India for producing Digital Life Certificates for Pensioners is known as Jeevan Pramaan Patra.
Jeevan Pramaan utilizes the Aadhaar platform for the biometric authentication of pensioners. After successful authentication, Digital Life Certificate is generated. The certificate is received online by the Pension Disbursing Agencies.
There are various ways through which you can submit your digital life certificate.
This method is applicable to the Sparsh portal.
How pensioners can submit their Digital life certificate through the mobile app
Requirements to submit life certificate:
Android Smartphone
Internet Connection
Aadhaar number should be provided to pension disbursing authority and registered.
Camera resolution- 5Mp or more
Visit the official Jeevan Praman Patra website
STEP 1
Download the Face detection app available on Jeevan Pramaan Portal.
Click on the download tab where you will find the required information for downloading an android application for mobile and a windows application for PC. The android application can be downloaded by entering your email id and captcha, and then clicking the button I agree, the application is downloaded,
STEP 2
Open the google play store and search Aadhar FaceRD and install it.
STEP 3
Authentication of Operator.
fill in the details of the operator, ( any person or a pensioner can be an operator) and name as mentioned on the Aadhar card mobile number and email id. If an OTP is received, submit it. Do your face authentication using your phone's front or rear camera, after successful authentication, the operator is registered.
STEP 4
Pensioner Authentication
Fill in pensioners' details such as choosing sanctioning authority, disbursing agency, Aadhar, Mobile, PPO Number, etc.
Follow the same procedure for face authentication
Scan the face and submit.

Upon approval and rejection, an SMS is received by the pensioner.
This face-detection technology may help pensioners who are bedridden and cannot reach out and present themselves before the disbursing agency.
Due to old age, the fingers are not recognized or scanned by finger devices,
Most pensioners cannot afford the high cost of finger and iris scanners, RD service is required for finger devices to work, and have to be renewed after one year of expiry, paying a certain amount as a subscription.
Thus face detected digital life certificates may prove worthy to pensioners.
