How to Withdraw Cash by biometric device

Aadhaar-enabled payment is a system that allows a bank account holder to withdraw cash with the help of a biometric device and to do transactions at a CSC center, post office, or shop providing financial inclusion services.

Aeps service uses the Aadhaar number as your identity to do transactions.

Your Aadhaar number should be linked to your bank account to access this service.

If you have more than one bank account Aadhaar number is linked to the latest bank account you have opened.

Aadhaar number is linked to only one account of yours, so Aeps transactions can be done for this account only.

Services available under Aeps by using a biometric device

Cash withdrawal, balance inquiry, mini statement, and amount deposit facilities are available for certain banks.

You can access Aeps service for cash withdrawal over a vast network area,

customers using  Aeps service can avail of cash withdrawal service at any access point, you have to mention the bank to which your account belongs, so no need to visit a particular bank or branch of the account holder. you can access it over an extensive network in rural and remote areas. Just like ATM service.

There are certain limitations included for users of this service

The amount withdrawal limit per day cannot exceed Rs ten thousand.

Transactions are limited, some banks allow cash withdrawals up to five times a month, while some allow three transactions.

How is Aeps transaction done?

Walk in or visit a CSC center or a shop having a POS or Aeps facility, and provide the details required such as your Aadhaar number, mobile number, and bank name.

After entering the details for the authentication process provide your finger or thumb, it will be authenticated by the biometric device, after matching your finger with your Aadhaar demographics. The operator and you receive a confirmation message. For successful transactions get a printed receipt.

As the transaction is completed, the operator receives the amount in his bank account or wallet and is handed over to you in cash.

As usual, there are limitations, drawbacks, and queries for this service, but this service provides relief for those, where there are no banks situated nearby, those people who are aged, cannot travel, and have health problems like paralysis you may request a CSC BC to attend it at home and get the transaction done.
